Balancing the Scales on Diet Inequality

When: Tuesday, 15th November 2022

Poverty and health are closely linked, and the impact of hunger and diet-related diseases are significant and far reaching including poor physical and mental health. The British Nutrition Foundation 2022 Annual Conference is a timely opportunity to consider how we meet the dietary needs of the UK’s most nutritionally vulnerable young people. We aim to raise awareness of health inequalities, focus on the importance of diet for the health of those who are at greater nutritional risk, and highlight innovative and effective actions to improve dietary quality at community level.

To complement the event, the BNF Annual Lecture will be given by Dr Alison Tedstone on tackling nutritional inequalities. In addition, a series of BNF Awards will be presented to celebrate excellence and achievements in food and nutrition, including our new Community Award to recognise an individual carrying out valuable work to support healthier eating in a vulnerable group.

You are welcome to join for the whole day or just part of it.
