The Yorkshire ASO Network has been one of the ASO’s longest running groups, originally run by Professor Andy Hill in the early 2000’s. The network generally meets in the early evening and welcomes input from local researchers and practitioners across the region. Early Career Research event: research talks and fellowship advice for developing a career in obesity research.
This meeting aims to bring together early career obesity researchers in Yorkshire, showcase some of the early career research taking place in Yorkshire, and share insights from some researchers in the area who have successfully obtained fellowships.

Location: The in-person event will be held at Lecture Theatre 12, Roger Stevens Building, University of Leeds. For a campus map see here. This is a hybrid event so people can register online or attend in-person.

Membership
Membership is open to obesity researchers, healthcare professionals, clinicians, academics, scientists, and students who are working and/or studying in the field of obesity and to others who have a particular interest in this area.
Student membership with ASO is only £30 annually and there are so many benefits. There has never been a better time to join!
ASO Networks
In addition to UKCO, we have ASO network meetings across the UK in order to meet the ASO mission and objectives.
Meetings are hare organised locally with support from the ASO Networks Lead.
