The 11th UK Congress on Obesity (UKCO) – the main event in the calendar for the UK Association for the Study of Obesity (ASO) – is taking place in Sheffield on 17th to 18th September 2026. This year’s local organising committee will be co-led by Dr Laura Gray (University of Sheffield) and Dr Catherine Homer (Sheffield Hallam University).

The landscape of obesity prevention, management and treatment across the life course is rapidly changing. UKCO 2026 brings together the latest scientific research, policy and patient perspectives on current issues. We are looking forward to welcoming you to Sheffield for packed 2-day programme full of talks, symposia and networking opportunities with colleagues and friends.

UKCO 2026 will be hosted by the Cutlers’ Hall, a truly magnificent venue rich in history and grandeur. Located in the heart of Sheffield city centre, Cutlers’ Hall is renowned as one of the finest livery halls in northern England. The building reflects the innovation in the Sheffield region as well as upholding Sheffield’s proud heritage.
