Sadia Ali

Communications Lead

Sadia Ali is a Senior Parliamentary Researcher and Adviser with over 15 years’ experience in the UK Parliament, working across legislation, political strategy, and domestic and international policy development. Alongside her wider parliamentary work, she has spent over a decade focused on historic regulatory failures related to medicine safety. This led to three government-commissioned reviews, including the IMMDS Review, and helped drive reforms in patient safety and women’s health policy.

She has a strong focus on public health, with parliamentary work spanning health inequalities, women’s health, and prevention policy. She has helped shape national approaches to data equity and reproductive health.

Sadia also leads on communications and public affairs for the Association for the Study of Obesity (ASO), supporting efforts to raise the profile of obesity as a public health priority and strengthen the links between research, policy, and practice.
