Katharine Pidd is a health economist at the University of Sheffield involved in research that evaluates interventions for obesity and type 2 diabetes. This work utilises modelling techniques to simulate long run health outcomes and assess the cost-effectiveness of interventions such as weight management programs or food policy. She has a particular interest in public health policy, recently working on a project evaluating how food taxes may influence consumption behaviours and health.
