Dr Sundus Mahdi

Sundus is a Research Associate in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of York. She is passionate about advancing food policies that improve child nutrition and overall health while actively reducing health inequalities. Her research expertise encompasses the development and evaluation of public health interventions, school food systems, and the behavioral sciences. Beyond her research, Sundus co-chairs the Food Special Interest Group at the Faculty of Public Health, and has taken up the role of Policy Officer for the Association for the Study of Obesity, where she helps bridge the gap between policy and practice.
