Ruth Price is a Research Fellow at the Nutrition Innovation Centre for Food and Health (NICHE) at Ulster University. Her research area spans both prevention and treatment and in measuring body composition, food choice, intake and related eating behaviours. Ruth works closely with the School of Medicine at Ulster University in conducting first-in-human trials testing novel treatments for obesity.
Ruth also works with a wide range of food companies to perform rigorous scientific testing of the potential health benefits associated with food products and dietary supplements, as well as in the discovery of new health benefits, and is a co-applicant on the all-Ireland Co-Centre for Sustainable Food Systems.
Ruth serves as the Co-Chair for the Institute of Food Science and Technology NI branch, is an active member of the Nutrition Society and is a member of the Scientific Review Board for the NI Chest Heart and Stroke.
