Communications Intern

Lindsay Robinson is a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Lifespan and Population Health at the University of Nottingham.

Her research explores how mild cooling impacts metabolic health, with a particular focus on activating brown adipose tissue (often referred to as ‘brown fat’) in people living with overweight and obesity. This work is part of the British Heart Foundation funded CoolBAT study, which aims to better understand whether simple home-based cooling strategies could support long-term metabolic health.

Alongside her research, Lindsay is passionate about social justice and community involvement. She volunteers with the Literacy Volunteers Charity, supporting children in primary schools to develop their reading skills, and with the Nottingham Twins and Triplets Club and Sherwood Twins and More playgroup, helping to provide peer-support for families with twins and triplets across Nottinghamshire.
