The main event in the calendar for the UK Association for the Study of Obesity is taking place in the city of Aberdeen and is being hosted by P&J Live, and the local organising committee will be co-led by Professor Alex Johnstone and Dr Kevin Deans

The landscape of obesity prevention and management is rapidly changing, and UKCO 2025 brings together the latest scientific research and patient perspectives on current issues:

 

Understanding Obesity:​ From research to Clinical ​and Public Health Practice

Following a sell-out UKCO in Oxford in 2024, we encourage people to register early to avoid disappointment! We are looking forward to welcoming you to Aberdeen for packed 2-day programme full of talks, symposia and networking opportunities with colleagues and friends.

 

Venue Description: 

P&J Live is the North East of Scotland’s award-winning event venue, boasting a world-class conference and exhibition facility. Our conference hub provides the perfect environment to listen and learn with state-of-the-art AV equipment. The facility is the most sustainable event venue in the UK, to minimise the carbon footprint of the event.
Aberdeen city is known as the granite city, with sparkling and beautiful buildings. It is a compact city located on the coast, and surrounded by golf courses, castles and the nearby Cairngorms. It has a vibrant city culture with history and art.

Call for Abstracts

UKCO 2025 welcomes researchers, clinicians, those in public health, and other professionals to present their latest clinical and non-clinical research to a diverse audience of experts and peers.

We invite submissions for:
Oral Presentations
Rapid Fire Presentations (shorter oral presentations)
Poster Presentations
3-Minute Thesis Competition

This congress encourages innovation, highlights new research, and promotes best practices in obesity research and treatment.
