Dr Ritwika Mallik is a Consultant in Diabetes and Metabolism at Barts Health NHS Trust with a special interest in Obesity and Cardiometabolic disease. She is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) UCLH Biomedical Research Centre. She is a sub-investigator for several obesity trials. She is a SCOPE-certified professional conferred by the World Obesity Federation. She is a content editor for ‘You and Your Hormones’ and has created videos with Bioscientifica to address weight stigma.
She is a member of the Metabolic and Obesity Working Group (Society for Endocrinology). She was awarded a Topol Digital Fellowship by Health Education England. She is completing her MD (Res) at Queen Mary University of London. She is the firm lead for medical undergraduate students. She has co-authored the book chapter on Obesity in Kumar and Clark’s Clinical Medicine.
Her special interests are precision medicine, prevention, digital health, and addressing health inequalities.
