Dr Dita Aswani is a Consultant Paediatrician at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, specialising in diabetes and childhood obesity.
She is a member of the National Paediatric Diabetes Audit (NPDA) dataset and methodology working group.
She has contributed to NICE guideline committees on diabetes and weight management, and serves on the Quality Standards Advisory Committee for Overweight and Obesity Standards.
At the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH), she is Assistant Officer for Nutrition and Obesity, and represents the College on the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) board.
She is the NHSE GIRFT Clinical Advisor for Children and Young Adults Diabetes.
She is a clinical co-investigator on the NIHR HSDR-funded ENHANCE study (Evaluating the NHS England Complications from Excess Weight clinics).
