The European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO) and the European Coalition for People Living with Obesity (ECPO) have aligned their activities under World Obesity Day Europe, to take place on 4 March. World Obesity Day is an annual, global event aiming to raise awareness and increase knowledge about obesity and the many other diseases on which it impacts. To encourage European initiatives from National Associations, COMs and patient groups, EASO and ECPO are offering a limited number of grants of up to €5,000 to help fund national World Obesity Day Europe activities. Find out more and apply.
The EASO and ECPO World Obesity Day Europe Awards are presented in recognition of excellence, innovation and best practice in advancing the understanding of obesity, and the importance of its prevention and treatment. All categories are open to EASO and ECPO National Members and affiliates (including ASO members), campaign supporters, related disease and patient organisations, support groups, members of the medical profession, patients and other individuals. The deadline for entries is 12 April 2021.
