We are inviting ASO members, at all career stages, to apply for our Operational Committee positions.
At the ASO, we are excited by the changes ahead. Growing our dedicated teams will result in more benefits to our membership, and we look forward to working with more of you over the coming years.
Current available roles are:
- ASO Operations Secretary (2 posts on a role sharing basis)
- ASO Sponsorship Role
- ASO Communications Lead

To be eligible for any of the operational roles, you need to be a current ASO member studying or working in a professional research and/or practise relevant to obesity.
All committee roles are voluntary. For most roles, applicants should be prepared to commit around one day per month including attending meetings and delivering on the role outside of meetings.

Please complete the online application form by no later than 9am on Monday 29th April, 2024.
There may be further ASO committee roles advertised later in 2024 following the development of our strategic plan.
Applications from eligible candidates will be included in an election, with ASO members voting to select which candidates should be offered the positions. If there is only one candidate who applies for a position, the application will be reviewed by the Operations Management Team and we may appoint without election.
