ASO Scotland Network Natter
When: Monday, 10th October 2022, 1:00pm - 2:00pm
For October we have Meigan Thomson discussing “Social interplay & weight management – how does who we interact with affect weight loss efforts?”.
Meigan is a Research Associate at the University of Edinburgh and is currently finishing her PhD at the Social and Public Health Sciences Unit at the University of Glasgow. Meigan’s PhD aims to understand the barriers and facilitators of weight loss in adults participating in behavioural weight management programmes. Meigan’s work uses a social ecological approach to explore factors impacting success at different levels (e.g., social, cognitive, environment). For the purposes of the network natter, Meigan will share interview results from her research on how social factors act as barriers and/or facilitators to success in these programmes.
This event will be in the format of a short presentation followed by a Q&A/discussion amongst attendees.
The ASO Scotland Network Natter is an online networking event to provide anyone working in the field of obesity prevention and treatment an opportunity to come together for a chat, to share ideas and support.
We would like to embrace the new way of networking with this online Zoom event.
